Bleu Désert build a punk pop culture collage for ‘Calling my Line’ - new from Rich the Kid and Blondie.

The video unfolds as a phone conversation between the artist and a chameleon-like switchboard operator, played by Khleopatre. From her control desk, she connects and disconnects lines, propelling Rich The Kid from one setting to another: new phones, new silhouettes, new timelines. The film moves through a series of tableaux, punctuated by inserts of iconic pop culture figures on the phone, whose images have been reworked using AI to lip-sync the track’s lyrics.
